Now, though, thanks to a tweaked exterior design, refreshed interior, and enhanced technology, the Yukon moves further upmarket for the 2025 model year.

The 2025 GMC Yukon is still available with three of the best engines anyone can get in a vehicle. The standard engine is the 5.3-liter Vortec V8 that has earned the reputation of being both reliable and perfectly powerful for everyday tasks. The 5.3-liter produces 355 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque. Stepping up to the 6.2-liter V8 gets you an engine that is beloved, especially among the Denali crowd. With 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, the 6.2 offers Corvette-like sound and oomph. Finally, for those diesel-lovers who do lots of towing, there is the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel inline-six that delivers 305 horsepower and a whopping 495 lb-ft of torque. All engines are paired with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2025 Yukon is available to you in five different trim levels that include the base Elevation model, AT4, Denali, AT4 Ultimate, and Denali Ultimate. The AT4 models are ideal for those who do some off-roading or need rugged vehicles to handle their hobbies and interests, while the Denali models appeal to those who want the most luxury they can get. The updated starting MSRP for each trim level is as follows:

  • Elevation: $68,895
  • AT4: $75,695
  • Denali: $78,995
  • AT4 Ultimate: $95,795
  • Denali Ultimate: $101,795

Cargo Capacity and the Yukon XL

For those customers who need extra room, the Yukon XL tacks on an additional $3,000 to the price but adds an extra 15 inches of total length—13 extra inches between the axles alone. Thanks to this extra space, the third row gets 1.8 inches more legroom. The standard Yukon is quite large when it comes to cargo capacity, with 25.5 cubic feet behind the third-row seats, 72.6 cubic feet with them folded, and 122.9 when the second and third rows are folded. The XL, however, has 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row, 93.8 when the last row is folded, and 144.7 when both rear rows are down.

The interior of the new Yukon is where things really shine, with the main points being the all-new 16.8-inch infotainment touchscreen display with Google Built-In and an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster display. If you prefer to use your phone as your main content source, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard. Even the second row gets an 8.0-inch screen to change climate control settings. The driver and front passenger get a new wireless phone charger. All passengers will love the 10-speaker Bose sound system that can be optioned to an 18- or 22-speaker system. Front and second-row heated seats are standard, as is a heated steering wheel. The optional rear-seat media system gives rear-seat passengers individual 12.6-inch displays that they can use to stream their own content. Additionally, two HDMI ports allow users to attach gaming consoles or laptops to the screens.
