Performance

There are three electric motors powering the 2025 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup 3X model. There is one in front and two in the rear for standard all-wheel drive, and together, they produce 830 horsepower – with an available 1,000 horsepower – and up to 11,500 lb-ft of torque. Because these are electric motors, all that torque is available from the moment the wheels turn. As a result, with the available Watts to Freedom feature, the EV Pickup 3X can sprint from a dead-stop to 60 mph in an exotic-sportscar-beating 3.3 seconds, reach 100 mph in 8.8 seconds, and trip the quarter-mile wire in 11.9 seconds. Not bad for a vehicle with 128 cubic feet of cabin space.

Towing is rated at 7,500 pounds, and the maximum payload is 1,300 pounds. The 2025 HUMMER EV Pickup has a manufacturer-estimated combined driving range of 329 miles. A double-stacked, liquid-cooled lithium-ion 212.7 kWh battery pack stores the energy. An 800-volt electric architecture allows 350-kilowatt fast charging from a compatible DC-direct charger, adding 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes.

On EV 2X models, two powerful motors produce up to 570 horsepower and 7,400 lb-ft of torque.

The Pickup offers plenty of amazing maneuverability. The 4-Wheel Steer system on the 2X and 3X trims has a 35.4-foot turning radius. The e4WD system on the 3X can channel power to a single wheel, which, combined with 13 inches of suspension travel, keeps the vehicle moving in very tough terrain. It is able to climb 60 percent grades (forward and reverse), scale 18-inch verticals, and traverse more than two feet of water.

One-Pedal Driving can slow the vehicle to a complete stop using the accelerator pedal, providing excellent control. At the same time, Terrain Mode uniquely integrates the brake system with One-Pedal Driving, giving the driver precise control while off-roading and rock crawling. In addition, Regen on Demand can slow the vehicle to a complete stop without pressing the brake pedal and feeds that energy back into the vehicle.

The 4-Wheel Steer system also allows the rear wheels to turn in the same direction as the front, allowing it to “CrabWalk” diagonally around obstacles. An available Extreme Off-Road Package adds:

Exterior

The bold design of the 2025 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup starts with inspiration from past HUMMER vehicles. The pickup has a fully lined five-foot-long bed and is available with the GMC Multi-Pro tailgate, which extends usable bed floor length to 6 feet and 10 inches. It also has 11 cubic feet of storage up front where the engine isn’t, which is fully secure under a power hood.

The light bar up front gives off a signature for the 2025 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup Truck. It is flanked by LED headlamp units. Out back, a traditional tailgate opens down with two vertical LED lighting units on each side.

Alloy wheels range from 18- to 22-inches, depending on model and package.

To open up the cabin for more air, the available Sky Panels can be removed above each outboard seat.

Interior

Seating for five is available in a wide cabin called the Lunar Horizon interior. It offers two-tone upholstery offering both Jet Black and Light Grey shades.

A fully digital instrument cluster greets the driver with customization options. Inside the 2025 GMC HUMMER EV Pickup Truck, you have tactile controls for every function, including a T-bar shifter.

Technology

Every 2025 HUMMER EV Pickup includes a large 13.4-inch diagonal screen that, in addition to the expected infotainment duties, has an in-vehicle Energy App that displays energy use, can set up charging schedules, monitors battery temperature conditioning, and more. It can also display information about the 2025 HUMMER EV Pickup’s selectable capabilities and provide performance readouts in off-road driving scenarios, including ride height, eLocker engagement, compass headings, pitch/roll status, and more.

There is also a trail mapping function that helps you plan and navigate off-road driving adventures, including charging locations and their distances from off-road locations. It also provides real-time energy consumption information. The truck is available with four removable “Sky Panels” that can be stored in the frunk. The tailgate swings to the side to reveal a 48-inch-wide cargo opening.

The newly available Power Station generator offers significant external powering capabilities to power off-road adventures and more. With enhanced vehicle hardware, the 2025 HUMMER EV Pickup can jump charge another electric vehicle at 240v/25A/6kW and power a variety of equipment and accessories at 120v/25A/3kW.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Most notable among the driver assistance features is a free 3-year trial of Super Cruise, which allows true hands-free driving on up to 400,000 miles of compatible roads in the US and Canada. Super Cruise even includes an automatic lane change feature. For roads not covered by Super Cruise, there is standard adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and both lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist.
