2025 GMC TERRAIN

Performance and Capability

All 2025 Terrains continue to be powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. The Elevation will launch with standard all-wheel-drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission. A front-wheel drive mated to a CVT will produce 184 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. The 2025 Terrain Elevation can tow up to 1,500 pounds max.

All-Wheel Drive and Hill Descent Control both come standard on the next-generation 2026 Terrain AT4 and Denali.

The 2026 Terrain AT4 delivers big-time capability in a small SUV. Epitomizing the peak of premium off-roading, this off-road trim offers more Drive Modes than the previous-generation: Normal, All-Wheel Drive, Off-Road, Tow/Haul and an AT4-exclusive Terrain Mode. The AT4 Terrain off-road tuned suspension and raised ride height help increase driver control on challenging terrain. All-terrain tires, red front recovery hooks, and a front skid plate with a steel underbody shield enhance off-road capability.

Exterior

The 2025 Terrain makes a bold statement. Taking cues from the Sierra and Yukon, a new truck-inspired design delivers a holistic GMC design language across the portfolio. The new design of the 2025 Terrain features a distinctive exterior with an upright grille and a new optional two-tone roof in black or gray that will confidently set it apart from the crowd. Also, you can get the Elevation Black Edition with darkened-colored design details for the coolest look ever.
Distinctive LED headlamps and taillamps complement the 2025 Terrain Elevation’s signature GMC styling. The 2026 Terrain AT4 and Denali will feature animated headlamps and taillamps. Additional exterior features include rainsense wipers, heated wiper park, and AutoSense power liftgate (which automatically opens the liftgate in the presence of the key fob). The 2026 Terrain Denali will ride on standard 19-inch wheels (with 20-inch wheels available), while the entry-level Elevation and off-road AT4 will be fitted with standard 17-inch wheels. The Elevation can be packaged with 19s.

Interior

The 2025 Terrain cabin features clean, modern lines and authentic materials that are designed to awaken your senses and expand your horizons. Features are plentiful: heated front seats, heated steering wheel, remote start, available driver- and front-passenger ventilated seats, available rear outboard heated seats, and maximum versatility with 60/40-folding rear seats for extra cargo space. To let more light inside, the 2025 Terrain is also available with a panoramic sunroof. Day or night, let the outside in and seize the moment.

The 2026 Terrain AT4’s exclusive interior includes premium materials and bold AT4 accents throughout. The 2026 Terrain Denali arrives with the signature craftsmanship, Denali premium suspension, authentic materials, and attention to detail that comes standard with Denali.

Technology

The 2025 Terrain now features a customizable 15.0-inch diagonal premium GMC Infotainment System. This infotainment touchscreen measures out to be more than twice the size of the smallest screen on the outgoing model. The system is powered with available Google built-in compatibility. It also has plenty of connectivity options, including 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability. A new, large 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster conplements the touchscreen.

Safety and Driver Assistance

The 2025 Terrain features High Definition Surround Vision Smart technologies that help provide exceptional visibility with up to eight available camera views. Additionally, this is the first Terrain to offer the available rear camera mirror and available rear camera wash, helping provide a clear view behind the vehicle.
For added peace of mind, a comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies come standard, such as Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (which includes braking assist for intersections, rear cross traffic, reverse, front pedestrian, and bicyclist). Other features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Side Bicyclist Alert, and Blind Zone Steering Assist. Overall, the Terrain comes standard with more than 15 driver assistance and safety features.
