The AT4X off-road trim is brand new for the 2024 Sierra Heavy Duty models. AT4X models feature multimatic DSSV dampers with a 1.5-inch suspension lift, rear e-locking differential, 25-inch Goodyear Territory tires, new and AT4X specific front upper and lower control arms, plus steering knuckles, a larger steel transfer case skid plate, and front aluminum skid plate, AT4X-only Obsidian Rush interior with massaging, full-grain leather-wrapped front seats, and a max towing capacity of 18,500 lbs.

Powerful Engine Choices 

All 2024 Sierra HD models are available with either a gas or diesel engine. The 6.6-liter V8 gas engine produces 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, or the 6.6-liter Duramax turbo diesel, which puts out 470 horsepower and a whopping 975 lb-ft of torque. Both engines have an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission that makes effortless shifts. 

DSSV Dampers Are A Must

When driving down the road, Mr. Max marveled that this big truck didn’t find an obstacle, saying, “To truly appreciate the vehicle, you should know about its MultiMatic Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve (DSSV) dampers mated to a factory-installed 1.5-inch suspension lift that helped make short order of boulders, “roads”, potholes and downed trees. I was the butter and they were the bread – I just glided right over. A front aluminum skid plate and underbody steel transfer case skid plate keep your underbody components – steering rack, transfer case, engine and exhaust – from being scraped as you slam over your favorite jagged, inhospitable terrain.”
